Mrrrooooowww! I'm Xena, the undercover spy cat. Whenever the people aren't looking, I'm off to continue my mission, which is top secret of course. They are always trying to deter me from my duties, but I must continue to defy them. Currently, my assignment is to monitor the feline who lives across the dock...we’ve got evidence that he's in cahoots with the enemy and I must find out the truth. My continuing duties including keeping tabs on the other humans on the dock; most of the time they don’t mind if I blow my cover while sneaking below on their boats, but once in a while I’ll get blasted with the dread aqua gun and have to limp home to lick my wounds. Also, I have a strong indication there are terrible things going on in the bilge -- if only the humans would believe me and stop thwarting my attempts to inspect! Most importantly, I perform a full inspection of all humans and animals entering and leaving our vessel, including the resident humans as I can never be certain where they have been. This is the most challenging as I must pretend to purr and snuggle them while at the same time taking stock of any contraband present on their person. If you are a guest on board, don’t mind me – it is standard for me to rub all over you in order to gather evidence. My most dreaded duty is monitoring the canine; I absolutely cannot let my cover be blown with this task! While I actually do not think he’s so bad, I must never let on that I do not really think he is the most despicable creature on earth. Each time I get close to him the humans coo and laugh! Blech! Need to get close to gather evidence, but cannot let the humans think we are “friends.” All in good time…. |
